In 1923, James J. Yeo and his son, W.L. Yeo, later joined by Lloyd Yeo, entered into a partnership for the purpose of practicing public accounting in Saginaw, Michigan. The Yeo family shaped the firm’s reputation for integrity and personalized service, steadily growing from a small accounting partnership to a family of companies with offices throughout Michigan.

As the third-generation leader of the firm, Lloyd Yeo said, “My great grandfather, Thomas Yeo came to the Americas from England in the late 1800s. It was said that he took the name YEO which was a derivative of the name yeoman.” The English word “yeoman,” means attendant, in the royal household regarded for loyal, vigorous, and effective service.

The Beginning
James J. Yeo and his son, W.L. Yeo, entered a partnership to practice public accounting in Saginaw, Michigan. The first office was located in downtown Saginaw at #518 Bearinger Building.
1954
Lloyd Yeo Joins the Firm
Lloyd Yeo, son of W.L. Yeo, joined the firm. Lloyd’s priorities continue to inspire and are reflected in our values.
1961
Our Alma Office
The St. Louis office (now the Alma office) opened with the acquisition of Senator Emil Lockwood’s practice. The office eventually moved to Alma in 1966.
1973
Our Flint Office
The Flint office officially became Yeo & Yeo on January 1, 1973, when the firm merged with Conlen & Darnton CPA. The office was located in the Sill Building in downtown Flint.
1977
Our Midland Office
Yeo & Yeo adds an office in Midland with the merger of Goodnight & Reimer, CPA.
1977
Our Lansing Office
Yeo & Yeo expanded into the Lansing market with the acquisition of Donald L. Miller & Company.
1983
Our Kalamazoo Office
The Kalamazoo office was added to the firm as a result of a merger with Sidnam & Martens, CPA.
Yeo & Yeo Financial Services (now Yeo & Yeo Wealth Management) was established to offer retirement, insurance, and investment services.
1998
Yeo & Yeo Medical Billing & Consulting
Yeo & Yeo established Affiliated Medical Billing, LLC (now Yeo & Yeo Medical Billing & Consulting), providing medical billing and practice management solutions for healthcare clients.

Our Ann Arbor Office
Yeo & Yeo expands into Ann Arbor, opening an office under the supervision of Managing Principal, Alan Lapczynski.
2001
Lloyd and Judy Yeo Endowment Fund
Wickson-Link Memorial Foundation Trustees set up the Lloyd & Judy Yeo Business Development Endowment Fund at SVSU with a $150,000 grant. The fund recognizes the Yeos' contributions to the community.
